Podiatry Care

Podiatry Care

Your feet are an important part of your life. They take you where you want to go and they often put up with a lot of activity, stress and abuse. This can lead to many problems with your feet and ankles. Podiatry care is the medical term for taking care of and treating the feet, and getting the right care can help relieve pains and aches to help make walking and running possible again.

Get Foot Care in Brooklyn

In order to get the diagnosis and treatment you need to help get relief from your foot problems, you can find podiatric care at the Quality First Urgent Care center. The treatment covers not just medical treatment, but even surgical, if needed. We treat problems with the foot, ankle, tendons and muscles.

Foot and Ankle Pain

If you have pain in your ankle or foot, there are several possible causes. We have high-tech scanning and diagnosis testing equipment that can help us to discover the exact problem. This includes x-rays, ultrasound, CT scans, and an MRI. Once a problem is identified, then it can be treated.

Foot Care for Those with Diabetes

If you have diabetes, you certainly want to take extra care of your feet. When a problem arises, such as having sores develop on your feet, or nerve pain, you need to have some podiatry care. Doctors can help you with foot problems and provide tips and instructions to enable better control of your diabetes, too – which will help your feet stay healthy longer.

With diabetes, foot problems should be taken to a doctor early to reduce the potential for more severe diabetic complications. Getting care and guidance regularly from medical professionals can help to prevent the need for amputation.

Complications Requiring Podiatric Care

Any time you have an abnormality of the bones in your feet, painful conditions, infections around a toenail, warts, or similar problems, it is time to get specialized care. If you are having problems with flat feet, or extra high arches, this also can cause problems, but they can be treated by a doctor.

Sports Injuries

People who exercise a lot or are involved in sports have a higher risk of sprains, tendonitis, fractures, and other problems. In order to reduce the damage from an injury to your lower leg, ankle, or foot, and to get back on your feet faster, it is important to see a doctor trained in foot care. Professional treatment and care will enable you to make a quicker recovery.

Other Foot Problems

Women and seniors can also be examined for foot problems and receive care for them at the Quality First Urgent Care center. Deformities of the feet, nail problems, bunions, hammer toes, and other problems are good reasons to go to the center for the care you need.
